Two-way radio networks for organisations with business, mission and life critical operations
Our business kicked off in 1973 when our founder recognised the very real opportunity of the new and exciting technology that was two-way radio. With the early market dominated by the large equipment vendors of Motorola, AWA, Plessy and Phillips, we set out to change the game for ‘push-to-talk’ radio communications in Australia.
Our approach was to bundle the equipment, frequencies, towers and service personnel into a service, one of the first ever ‘managed services’ in the marketplace. We put together a great team of technicians and engineers to take responsibilityfor the design, commissioning and ongoing operation of these ‘world class’ networks.
Over the last 45 or so years we have had many ‘industry firsts’. We launched the first commercial conventional networks in the ‘70s, trunked networks in the ‘80s and ‘90s and today run a number of private and public P25, NXDN and DMR networks across Australia. We are first to launch open standard DMR Tier 3 network in Australia in 2015. We offer our customers with a range of applications that can run on top of our open standard digital network including PTToX (Push-to-Talk over Cellular or Wi-Fi) that integrates traditional two-way radio networks with PTT functionality over mobile devices.
We’ve also understood the importance of integration of these networks into the operating environments of our customers. Having our own fixed networks has certainly helped us deliver these converged fixed and mobile solutions.
Our next challenge is to work out how the functionality and benefits of instant ‘push-to-talk’ services can be extended to other mobile environments – specifically LTE and WLAN. We see these as complementary technologies and services and are excited to bring them to market.

Quality and interoperability starts with a commitment to standards-based technologies. We support MPT, NXDN, DMR Tier 3 and P25. We design our access network to capacity demand requirements.

We have protected bases with redundant power and diverse backhaul for enhanced availability plus an added option for integrated ‘Push-to-Talk over Cellular’ (PoC) for full comms redundancy.

We offer wide area coverage on shared networks with optional coverage extensions and customised coverage for challenging coverage areas and in-building communications.

Choose from value added services of vehicle tracking, location and dispatch. We have well defined performance guarantees for standard, priority and critical voice / data connectivity grades.

We have a skilled and committed technical team on Service Desk and Network Operations Centre (NOC). We utilise ITIL v3 framework for service excellence for fault, problem and incident management.

Digital networks come with secure bases as standard. There are additional levels of security and encryption plus call logging if required. We ensure strong physical security around site facilities and bases.

Our national trunked network enables voice and data communications on hybrid MPT/DMR infrastructure for in-vehicle mobile and handheld portable communications. All services come with well-defined SLAs for availability, performance (queued calls, failed calls and dropped calls), management and security. We include a wide range of certified vendor subscriber units for open standard.

We design and build private (standards based) conventional / trunked LMR networks to meet any required coverage, functionality and performance standard. We operate and provide performance SLAs as part of our fully managed offering. Our turnkey hardware option transfers the network ownership to you while weprovide optional sparing, monitoring, maintenance and support options.

Wholesale network access is provided for carrier and service providers to facilitate primary and or redundant LMR connectivity for their customer and user groups. It’s offered as subscribers across shared trunking networks or as standalone infrastructure. We have fully customisable options for coverage, capacity and functionality. Offered with standard and enhanced service guarantees.
