Businesses today are increasingly reliant on their ICT applications and services, especially as the adoption to Cloud services is on the rise. Network connectivity, being the key part of ICT infrastructure, is now critical in keeping businesses connected 24x7 to their Cloud services. Outages to the network cause real problems for organisations – especially those who are using the Cloud to host life-critical and business-critical applications.
It makes sense to invest in network redundancy, but many so - called‘ redundant’ network services have common points of failure if they share the same physical network, exchange or backhaul path.The fact is there are many different levels of redundancy, and the term does not mean the same thing to all people.
