Neil Huntley recognised as 2017 NSW Industry Professional
Vertel is thrilled to announce that another long standing employee Neil Huntley was last night recognised by industry association ARICA, being awarded the Peter Wallace - Industry Professional of Year for NSW in 2017.
In addition to the national Industry Excellence Awards that are presented at the Melbourne Dinner each year, ARCIA also presents a State Industry Advancement Award at regional events in Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne each year. The Peter Wallace Award is awarded to someone with direct links to the ‘Radio communications industry’ who has contributed to the benefit of the industry in different ways.
Neil joined Vertel in 1997 and has had an extensive career in the LMR industry spanning the world and working in a variety of roles, cutting his teeth as a technician in Philips before migrating into a sales engineer role and then into sales.
Neil not only has a true passion for LMR but also a true passion for people and customer service. Having a technical background and a good business sense has earned him his trademark : the ability to obtain a deep understanding of the customer’s needs then implementing the right solution and ensuring the customer gets the maximum benefit.
Over the years Neil has worked on many large deals and with a large variety of technologies. From the early days of crystal controlled radios to the intricacies of a national trunked DMR network, from the first GPS based solutions to the complex integrated solutions available today, Neil has a deep passion for the industry and embraces change and innovation.
Neil does more than sell Vertel services. He champions LMR and the radio industry and it an exceptionally worthy winner of the NSW Peter Wallace Award.
